The story of John E Brownlee is all about progressive thinking. Not only did he establish one of Alberta’s most successful law practices, he was also the 5 th Premier of Alberta. Much of the prosperity that Alberta enjoys today can be traced back to the vision that Mr. Brownlee had for Alberta while he held office. Mr. Brownlee had the determination to negotiate the transfer of ownership of natural resources from the government of Canada to the Province of Alberta. This important event resulted in the level of prosperity Albertans enjoy today and will share with generations to come. His vision is one of the legacies that still lives within the walls of Brownlee LLP, the firm which proudly bears Mr. Brownlee’s name.
